PARKING INFORMATION

Parking is available at 100 E Jones St, directly across the street from the State Archives of North Carolina. The charge for parking is $2.00 per hour.

If that lot is full, another option is the parking deck at 314 Blount Street that costs $1/hour for the first 2 hours, $2 per hour after two hours to the daily maximum ($14.00).

*We recommend bringing both card and cash for payment, just in case.

If located in Raleigh/Durham or you plan to stay in a hotel on a bus route, you can utilize the GoTriangle website to find route information and plan your travel to the conference on public transit.

HOTEL INFORMATION

The Longleaf Hotel is the official hotel of the SNCA Annual Meeting this year.

It is a modernized mid-century gem sitting at the northern gateway to downtown Raleigh. Its namesake, the soaring longleaf pine―with its whimsical canopy and pine needle-blanketed floor―has inspired every aspect of their modern renovation of this vintage motor lodge. Guests will receive free onsite parking, WiFi, and local drip coffee. They also have a specialty coffee station with local pastries for purchase and a full bar/lounge with a patio for guests to enjoy. The hotel is three blocks away from the State Archives of North Carolina and is within walking distance of great restaurants and attractions.

The Longleaf has set aside a block of 30 rooms for SNCA attendees. Each room will cost $156 per night, with that rate applicable to April 17 and 18. You can book your room online HERE* or by phone at 919-867-5770. The room block closes on March 17, so be sure to book soon!

*Important note on booking using the link from Longleaf:

It will look like the last date of the 19th is X'd out. In order to reserve the last evening of the 18th to check out the 19th, you will need to go to the top of the page and manually click on the last date. This will then pull the discounted rate and allow booking. You can also call the hotel directly to reserve under the block.

If the Longleaf block is full or you wish to stay elsewhere, there are many options within walking or driving distance of the State Archives of North Carolina. Other walkable options include:
