The Society of North Carolina Archivists announces an annual honors award for North Carolina graduate students to recognize excellence for a paper on an archival topic written for a graduate-level course. The award honors the late Gene J. Williams, archivist at the North Carolina Division of Archives and History and at East Carolina University, and charter member of the Society of North Carolina Archivists. The award will be presented at the annual Meeting of the Society of North Carolina Archivists. The award winner will receive $100 and a one-year membership in the Society. Submissions should be made electronically, with both the submission form and papers sent as an e-mail attachment to the SNCA Education Chair (firstname.lastname@example.org).
The winning paper will be published in the Journal of the Society of North Carolina Archivists. Submissions will be accepted until Friday, December 14, 2012. The submission form is attached to this email. For more information, please go here.
