What kind of people belong to SNCA?

Membership in SNCA is open to all individuals and institutions that are interested in and concerned about archival matters.  Currently, the membership is composed of college students, professors, and regular, volunteer, or retired personnel of

  • college and university archives and special collections
  • federal, state, and local archives and records centers
  • state and local historical societies
  • museums
  • libraries
  • business, religious, and medical archives

Although most members reside within the state of North Carolina, the number of out-of-state members continues to grow.

The rewards of membership are directly related to the degree of involvement of our members. We need YOU to help keep SNCA strong.

How is SNCA structured?

The Executive Board is composed of the President, Vice President/President Elect, Secretary, Treasurer, Immediate Past President/Chair of Education-Development Committee, Publications Chair, Membership Chair, Electronic Resources Chair, and two Members-at-Large.

Committees include Program, Education-Development, Membership, Publications, and Nominating.

How do I join or renew?

Send form electronically to membership chair. Pay dues by using PayPal or by mailing a check to treasurer at address below. You will have one months grace period in which to mail your check. You may also print the following form and send both it and your dues check by surface mail to:
