Gene J. Williams Award

The Society of North Carolina Archivists announces an annual honors award for North Carolina graduate students to recognize excellence for a paper on an archival topic written for a graduate-level course. The award honors the late Gene J. Williams, archivist at the North Carolina Division of Archives and History and at East Carolina University, and charter member of the Society of North Carolina Archivists. The award will be presented at the annual Fall Meeting of the Society of North Carolina Archivists. The award winner will receive $100 and a one-year membership in the Society. Deadline for submissions is June 1, 2007. Submissions should be made by paper (see form and mailing address below) and sent as an e-mail attachment to mrhue@jcsu.edu.
